Interior Decorative Finishes

NATURAL FONDO

NATURAL FONDO is a three component product consisting of:

Component A: aqueous dispersion of liquid epoxy prepolymers, additives and special fillers.
Component B: aqueous dispersion of copolymerization polyamines and additives.

NATURAL FONDO is a product designed specifically for creating very hard layers, without shrinkage, on surfaces to be treated with subsequent layers of polished plaster products in the NATURAL range, both on floors and walls. Where to Use On floor and walls surfaces such as:

Screeds and concrete floors of every composition.
Painted walls (previously diamond grinded).
Wood panels, plywood panels, plasterboard, polymer cement and aluminium without primer.
Tiled surfaces (previously diamond grinded or treated with RICRETE 1C).
Natural stone (with removal of previous treatments).

Substrate Preparation

Care must be taken to ensure that the substrate is a structurally sound and suitable base. This is particularly important when work is to be carried out on areas which, when put into use, can be negatively affected by episodes of negative pressure caused by humidity. Depending on the area existing condition, the kind of treatment to be performed shall be chosen between the following:

  • Pressure hot water washing.
  • Acid washing.
  • Sanding.
  • Diamond-grinding.
  • Scarifying.
  • Sand-blasting.

In this way dust, dirt, grease, oil, old glue or varnish,, efflorescence, rust, mould and other foreign material will be removed. Any area’s dips or humps having a depth higher than 5-10 mm must be filled with GROVE 30.

Product Preparation

Pour NATURAL FONDO comp. B into comp. A mix well with a professional blender at low rpm.
The mixture obtained is ready to use.

Application

Apply the product in a smooth layer, keeping the plastering trowel at an angle of approximately 10° from the surface. When smoothed properly, one coat should be sufficient. If required, a second coat can be applied as soon as the first coat can be walked on, or as soon as the product has hardened on walls. Once dry, which may take 4-5 hours (at 20°C) based on environmental conditions, the surface can be sanded with a 120 grade abrasive mesh and vacuumed.

NATURAL BOND

NATURAL BOND is a three component product made up of:

Component A: aqueous dispersion of liquid epoxy pre-polymers, additives and special fillers.
Component B: aqueous dispersion of co-polymerisation polyamines and additives.
Component C: cementitious powder and silica-quartz sands.

NATURAL BOND is specifically designed to realize the bottom layers with a Venetian Plaster Effect in the NATURAL range. NATURAL BOND is available in two versions:

COLORATO: with pre-pigmented component A.
COLORABILE: with pigment-free component A, that must be coloured with the mixtures belonging to the NORDRESINE “SISTEMA TINTOMETRICO” water based range.

Substrate Preparation

NATURAL BOND shall be used on surfaces previously treated with primer. NATURAL BOND is usually applied on surfaces treated with NATURAL FONDO, which allow the restoration of any surface imperfection, in particular when application over tiles and natural stones is required. For vertical surfaces and furniture sector application, the surface can be treated with a layer of NORPHEN FONDO SL followed by a light quartz sand 0.1-0.6 broadcast.

Product Preparation

NATURAL BOND COLORATO:

pour NATURAL BOND comp. B into comp. A and mix well with a professional blender at low rpm.
pour comp. C into the mixture that has formed and stir well until a completely homogeneous dough is obtained. NATURAL.

BOND COLORABILE:

Based on the colour selected, weigh and pour the NORDRESINE “SISTEMA TINTOMETRICO” water based range pastes into the NATURAL BOND COLORABILE comp. A container, or use the pre-weighed pigments in the NATURAL COLOR range homogenize the coloured comp. A so obtained.
Pour NATURAL BOND comp. B into comp. A and mix well with a professional blender at low rpm.
Pour comp. C into the so obtained mixture and stir well until a completely homogeneous mixture is achieved.

Application

Place a 160 g/m2 glass mesh with a 4×4 mm weave onto the laying surface without overlaps.
Use a square trowel to load the product onto a steel spatula of around 50 cm (46 x 10 cm for vertical surfaces), apply it to the mesh, on the floor or on the wall, and spread it out to approximately 1.5 kg/m2.
After 4 hours (at 23°C) apply the second finishing layer.

NATURAL TOP

NATURAL TOP is a three component product made up of:

Component A: aqueous dispersion of liquid epoxy pre-polymers, additives and special fillers.
Component B: aqueous dispersion of co-polymerisation polyamines and additives.
Component C: cementitious powder and silica-quartz sands.

NATURAL TOP is available in two versions:

COLORATO: with pre-pigmented component A.
COLORABILE: with pigment-free component A, that must be coloured with the mixtures belonging to the NORDRESINE “SISTEMA TINTOMETRICO” water based range.

Surface Preparation

NATURAL TOP is usually applied on surfaces treated with NATURAL BOND

Product Preparation

NATURAL TOP COLORATO:

Pour NATURAL BOND comp. B into comp. A and mix well with a professional blender at low rpm.
Pour comp. C into the mixture that has formed and stir well until a completely homogeneous dough is obtained.

NATURAL TOP COLORABILE:

based on the colour selected, weigh and pour the NORDRESINE “SISTEMA TINTOMETRICO” water based range pastes into the NATURAL TOP COLORABILE comp. A container, or use the pre-weighed pigments in the NATURAL COLOR range.
homogenize the coloured comp. A so obtained.
pour NATURAL TOP comp. B into comp. A and mix well with a professional blender at low rpm.
pour comp. C into the so obtained mixture and stir well until a completely homogeneous mixture is achieved.

Application

NATURAL COAT PRIMER

NATURAL COAT PRIMER is a product comprised of a water-based solution of liquid pre-polymers, special active ingredients and additives.
When applied to absorbent surfaces such as polymer-cement polished plaster coatings it is able to penetrate the surface and make it waterproof. This allows the final protective layers to adhere properly and perform their function, without modifying the colour of the coating. It also removes the wet look typical of polymer-based products, which could ruin the finished appearance.

Field of use

NATURAL COAT PRIMER can be used as a waterproofing and consolidating primer for coatings in the NATURAL range. The product may also be used on cement coatings of various other natures: nevertheless, as it is designed specifically for use with the NATURAL system, preliminary tests should be carried out first.

Surface Preparation

NATURAL COAT PRIMER should be used on surfaces finished with NATURAL BOND or NATURAL TOP and then sanded.

Product Preparation

NATURAL COAT PRIMER is ready to use. Shake the container and pour the contents into a tray, never directly onto the surface to be treated.

Application

Apply the product with a wax spreader (art. 1K00300001). Two “thinly applied” coats are normally necessary. On highly absorbent surfaces:

Apply the first coat of NATURAL COAT PRIMER diluted with 50% water (1 litre of product and ½ litre of water).
Apply the second coat of NATURAL COAT PRIMER undiluted as soon as the first coat can be walked on (after 2-3 hours, or in any case not more than 8 hours after the first coat).

NATURAL COAT MAT

NATURAL COAT MAT is a water-based bi-component aliphatic finish to be mixed at the time of use. It creates a glossy and transparent final protective layer for polished plaster surfaces in the NATURAL range. Field of use NATURAL COAT MAT can be used as finishing and protective coating in the following instances:

On finishing layers of cement or epoxy-cement rendering, on floors or on walls.
On floors made of concrete or cementitious screed.

The product may also be used on cement and polymer-cement finishing layers of various other natures: nevertheless, as it is designed specifically for use with the NATURAL system, preliminary tests should be carried out first.

Surface Preparation

Sand the surface with a 180 grade abrasive and completely remove any dust by vacuuming or wiping with a damp cloth.
Make sure that the laid support has a working level of residual humidity compatible with the product (normally 8±24 hours after laying).

Product Preparation

Pour NATURAL COAT MAT comp. B into comp. A and mix thoroughly using a professional mechanical mixer set to a low RPM until a perfect amalgam is achieved. The product is ready to use.

Application

Apply the product with a short-haired roller in one coat.
